There's a tremendous fear of liking sex too much. When we make love, as much as everyone want to cum and see stars and feel the world turn, we resist intense sexual experience more than we embrace it. And it's very difficult for us to let go. The idea of "letting go" makes people think they're just going to lose it -- they won't get up and go to work the next day. I think that sexual repression really is key to the work ethic: the idea that if you pleased your body, you wouldn't be compelled to bring home the bacon, or wax the floor anymore -- all those things that you make yourself do because you have to.
